Hexagonal Velvet Ring Box Construction
The 6-sided shell is built on flocked velvet over an MDF rigid core, with continuous pile across every exterior and interior face. No exposed paper edges, no plastic seams — the velvet runs uninterrupted from the lid down through the base.
Friction-fit lid mechanism
The lid lifts vertically with a friction-fit tolerance of ~0.3 mm. No hinge, no magnet, no screw — eliminating the most common long-term failure points (hinge breakage, magnet demagnetization, screw thread strip). Friction is calibrated for repeated open-close cycles without loosening over a 5+ year storage life.
Double-Slot Interior Layout for Ring Pairs
The base houses a double-slot velvet insert with a 10 mm slot pitch, sized to display two solitaire rings upright side-by-side. Slot geometry accommodates standard ring shanks up to 4 mm thick.

Custom Pantone codes add 0 days to lead time but require 500 pcs minimum to lock the dye batch.
Lid decoration on flocked velvet
Decoration is limited to silk-screen printing (opaque ink, 1–4 colors) and debossing (blind impression into the velvet). Foil stamping is not compatible with the textured velvet surface — pile fibers prevent uniform foil release. Both supported methods are production-proven on this substrate.

Foil-based decoration (hot stamping, gold/silver foil) does not adhere reliably to flocked velvet — the surface fibers prevent uniform foil release. We use silk-screen (opaque ink, 1–4 colors) and debossing (blind impression into the velvet) instead, both production-proven on this substrate.

Each unit is bagged individually with the lid friction-fit in place, then packed 50 pcs per inner carton with foam dividers. No tape or sticker is applied to the velvet surface to avoid pile damage.
