Classic Tassel Zip Pouch — Soft Chenille Velvet with Custom Logo

This chenille velvet zip pouch is a soft-shell square pouch with a gold-tone zip-around closure and a signature suede tassel pull, built for jewelry brands, boutique gift shops, and subscription-box curators that want a warm, tactile alternative to rigid boxes or flat felt bags. The chenille velvet face has a deep, textured pile that reads premium in product photography and survives daily handling far better than thin nylon or non-woven pouches. Every pouch is custom-logo ready — embroidery, foil-stamped leather patch, woven label, or a branded metal zipper charm. MOQ 500 pcs per color, eight stock colors, custom sizes to spec.

Chenille Velvet Material and Tassel Zipper Construction

Chenille velvet is a woven pile fabric where the yarn is wrapped with short fibers before weaving, creating a dense, fuzzy surface with a subtle two-tone sheen as it catches light. Unlike sprayed flock — which sheds and crushes — chenille pile is woven into the base cloth, so it keeps its texture through repeated open/close cycles and stuffing into a handbag.

Why chenille velvet over flat felt or nylon

  • Texture that photographs — the woven pile scatters light into a soft heathered look; flat felt and nylon photograph dull and cheap by comparison
  • Structure without stiffening — chenille holds a gentle square shape on its own, no need for a stiff insert, so the pouch stays soft and pocketable
  • Edge durability — the zipper is sewn into a folded-and-bound seam (not raw-edge glued), so the corners do not fray after months of use

Materials at a glance

  • Exterior: woven chenille velvet, ~280-320 gsm, heathered two-tone pile
  • Lining: color-matched polyester taffeta / satin, full lining (no raw seams inside)
  • Zipper: gold-tone metal-look nylon coil, zip-around three-side opening
  • Pull: genuine-look suede tassel on a gold-tone cap, color-matched to the body

A Versatile Small Pouch — Jewelry, Coins, Earbuds, Cosmetics

The square zip-around format opens almost flat, so the whole interior is visible and easy to load — better than a drawstring bag for small items that get lost in the bottom. Typical uses our buyers package it for:

  • Jewelry travel pouch — rings, studs, a folded chain; pair with a velvet roll insert for a retail jewelry set
  • Coin purse / card-and-key pouch — the gold zipper and tassel give it a finished accessory look
  • Earbuds / cable pouch — fits AirPods-class cases and short charging cables
  • Cosmetics mini pouch — lipstick, compact, samples for beauty subscription boxes
  • Gift-with-purchase packaging — a reusable branded pouch the customer keeps and re-uses, extending brand exposure

Custom Logo Options for Chenille Velvet Pouches

Because the surface is textile rather than smooth leather, logo decoration is chosen to suit fabric. We recommend a method based on your logo detail and order size:

Embroidery (recommended for fabric)

Direct machine embroidery onto the chenille face — the most durable and premium-looking option for woven fabric. Best for word-marks and simple icons. Minimum legible text height ~5 mm; very fine serif type or hairline strokes do not embroider cleanly on a pile surface. No plate fee; digitizing setup is one-time and waived above 1000 pcs.

Foil-stamped leather patch

A small PU or genuine-leather patch is hot-stamped with your logo and stitched to the pouch face. This gives you crisp foil detail (gold/silver/rose-gold/blind deboss) that chenille itself cannot hold, on a contrasting patch that frames the brand. Per our hot-stamping standards, keep line strokes ≥0.4 mm and avoid huge solid-foil fills — clean edges, not big gold, is what reads premium.

Woven label or branded zipper pull

Two subtler options: a woven damask label sewn into the seam (full-color, fine detail, very durable), or a custom metal zipper-pull charm replacing the tassel — engraved or enamel-filled with your mark. Both can be combined with embroidery for a layered branded look.

Logo placement on a soft pouch

On a soft square face the optical center sits slightly above the geometric center — a logo dropped dead-center looks like it is sinking. Our design team places artwork on the upper-middle third (rule-of-thirds) and returns a digital mock-up for sign-off before production, so you do not need to pre-compensate when you send the vector file.

Eight Stock Colors

Stock colors: Peacock Teal, Red, Olive Green, Denim Blue, Taupe, Lavender, Rose Pink, Ivory. The tassel and lining are color-matched to the body by default; contrast tassel/lining combinations are available on request. Custom Pantone dyeing is offered for orders ≥1500 pcs per color, with a dyed swatch returned in 7-10 days for approval before bulk.

Quality Control, Packing and MOQ

Every pouch passes a multi-stage check: fabric inspection → cutting → sewing → zipper and tassel attachment → logo decoration → 100% piece inspection (zipper pull-test, seam integrity, lint clean-down) → individual bagging. Chenille is lint-cleaned with a tack roller before pack-out so pouches arrive crisp, not fuzzy with stray fibers.

Packing and sampling

Each pouch ships in an individual OPP or non-woven bag → inner carton → master export carton. Standard MOQ 500 pcs per color (mix sizes within one color toward the minimum). Pre-production samples ship in 7-10 days for stock colors, 12-15 days when custom logo or custom Pantone is involved, freight collect via DHL/FedEx. Bulk lead time 20-30 working days; reorders 15-25 working days from PO.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Chenille velvet is a WOVEN pile fabric — the yarn is wrapped with short fibers before it is woven into the base cloth, giving a dense fuzzy surface with a subtle two-tone heathered sheen. Flock by contrast is short fibers sprayed onto an adhesive backing; it sheds and crushes flat with use. Standard velvet has a finer, flatter pile. For a pouch that gets opened, stuffed into a bag, and handled daily, chenille is the most durable of the three because the pile is woven in, not glued on — it keeps its texture and does not bald at the corners.

  • It depends on your logo and budget. Embroidery is the most durable and premium for woven fabric and is our default recommendation for word-marks and simple icons (minimum legible text ~5 mm; hairline serif type does not embroider cleanly on pile). For crisp foil detail that fabric cannot hold, use a hot-stamped leather patch stitched to the face — gold/silver/rose-gold/blind deboss. For very fine multi-color logos, a woven damask label sewn into the seam holds the most detail. You can also replace the tassel with a custom engraved or enamel metal zipper charm. Send your vector logo and we'll recommend the best fit and return a mock-up.

  • The stock format is a square soft pouch around 11-13 cm per side, which suits jewelry, coins, earbuds and cosmetics. Because it is sewn (not molded), custom sizes are straightforward — give us the items you need to fit or your target dimensions and we will cut the pattern to match. Custom sizes do not carry a tooling fee the way rigid boxes do; the only requirement is meeting the 500 pcs per color minimum. We return a sewn sample for fit approval before bulk.

  • Yes. By default the suede tassel and the inner lining are color-matched to the chenille body for a clean, coordinated look. Contrast combinations are available at no extra cost on stock colors — for example an Ivory body with a Red tassel and Red lining, or a Denim Blue body with a Taupe lining. Specify your combination on the PO. For fully custom tassel or lining colors outside our stock range, the 1500 pcs-per-color custom-dye minimum applies.

  • The pile is woven into the base cloth so it does not shed like flock and does not bald at the corners. Before pack-out every pouch is lint-cleaned with a tack roller and sealed in an individual bag, so they arrive crisp rather than fuzzy with stray fibers. Chenille does attract surface lint in daily use (as any pile fabric does) — a quick pass with a lint roller refreshes it. For retail display we recommend keeping pouches bagged until they reach the shelf.

  • MOQ is 500 pcs per color; you can mix custom sizes within one color toward that minimum. Pre-production samples ship in 7-10 days for stock colors, or 12-15 days when custom logo or custom Pantone dyeing is involved, sent freight-collect via DHL/FedEx. Bulk production runs 20-30 working days; reorders are faster at 15-25 working days from PO since patterns and logo setup are already on file. Custom Pantone dyeing requires 1500 pcs per color and a 7-10 day swatch approval before bulk.
